How Can You Turn Failures into Opportunities

It's quite normal for an 'Employee' to work like a horse with blinkers and be contended with ‘go day, come day, god bless my pay day’.

A regular dedicated employee works with dedication, passion, commitment, timelines, adopts excellence and continues to strive, stretch, compete and show one is superior and be in the run of the mill rat race. Many a times this person compromises the main backbone to her/his happiness i.e., her/his family, friends, health and hobbies only to find one day, when recession hits hard and when one loses the job, her/his day light breaks! Either the person will now wear a thinking cap or gets into depression.

When going gets tough, only the tough gets going! One has to think while being on this regular 9 to 5 job, what's my plan B? Readiness and Preparedness to face challenges that tomorrow brings in the unknown ways to be always ascertained.

What's this Plan B all about? The entrepreneur in you must always be working within. Comfort zone is a limiting factor for oneself. One must think beyond from 'Go Home' to creating a New World and living one's dreams making it up for 'Go Home' to 'My Gain'. While being on the job, saving few pennies and investing rightly matters a lot which can come for rescue during rainy days such as Job loss due to recession.

Also, there are many ways to look at the job loss for oneself. Firstly, Never ever get demotivated and get depressed as the job loss has happened only due to recession and not because of your performance. Secondly, during this lull period, instead of cursing and getting depressed, get up and take charge of self by enrolling to a new course and upgrade, take up a new challenge to be ahead of the pack and prepare oneself to face adversities when such a thing happens next time, spend quality time with family, exercise and play a sport, look into the phone book and see how many you have been out of touch for years now - revive all your old friends and acquaintances, listen to music and dedicate yourself with your neighbourhood social causes, etc.. etc… Go ahead and not be-head! Rock-on and not Rock down! There’s a bent in the tunnel and not the end of the road. Erase the period (full stop) and start with dotted lines ...
